SPECIFICATIONS OF ENTREPRENEURIAL ACTIVITY AND MARKETING IN THE FIELD OF PHYSICAL CULTURE AND SPORTS

The article focuses on the socio-economic conditions that have contributed to the development of entrepreneurial activity in the field of sports, as well as the need to apply marketing as an effective and sustainable tool for the development of sport organizations.
Like in all former Soviet Union countries, in the Republic of Armenia also the transition from a highly centralized economy to a regulated market economy was accompanied by serious systemic and structural reforms in all areas of economic relations. Changes in Armenian sports were accompanied by a reduction in budget funding. The players of this fuild, considered as non-profit companies, faced a serious problem and had to look for new financing sources. A modern way of dealing with this issue is marketing, in particular the sports marketing, which is a relatively new type of marketing.
Marketing caracteristics in organizations offering physical culture and sports services, sports products to the public have been analyzed. Sports marketing has its specific features, in particular, there are essential differences between marketing policy of the organizations providing sports products and services of professional sports, sports rehabilitation centers, and sports schools and clubs which are mainly directed at work with the parents of pupils.
